학과안내

부산대학교 일어일문학과 부산대학교 일어일문학과는 1980년 본교 인문대학에 신설되었다. 학부는 정원 32명과 소수의 정원 외 학생들을 선발하여 2025년 현재 210여명이 재적 중이다. 학과 개설이후 배출된 졸업생은 대략 1,700명으로 한국과 일본 사회의 다양한 분야에서 활약하거나 학계에서 일본어문학을 강의하고 있다. 본 학과는 급변하는 세계정세 속에서 지리적으로 이웃해 있는 일본과의 지속적이고 우호적인 관계를 지향하는 동시에 민간 외교에 있어서 정확한 의사 전달과 양국의 문화 교류를 위해 필수불가결한 인재를 육성하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 물론 기본적으로는 사회 현장에서 즉각적으로 활용할 수 있는 고급 일본어 구사능력 배양을 추구하고 있다.

이와 같은 교육 목적을 달성하기 위해 다음과 같은 교육 목표를 지향하고 있다.

다양하고 세분화된 일본의 정보와 기술을 이해·활용할 수 있는 실질적 일본어 구사능력의 함양
전문적 일본문학·일본어학 연구를 수행할 수 있는 인재 양성을 위한 학문적 기초 확립
인류의 보편적 가치를 따르는 교육 철학을 기반으로 타인을 배려하는 인성과 합리적 사고력을 갖춘 교육자 양성

Department Overview The Department of Japanese Language and Literature at Pusan National University was established in 1980 within the College of Humanities. The undergraduate program admits 32 students each year, along with a small number of additional students, and as of 2025, approximately 210 students are currently enrolled. Since its founding, the department has produced about 1,700 graduates, many of whom are actively engaged in various fields across Korean and Japanese society, or are teaching Japanese language and literature in academia. Our department is dedicated to cultivating indispensable talent capable of ensuring accurate communication and fostering cultural exchange between Korea and Japan—two neighboring countries facing a rapidly changing global environment. We aim not only to develop advanced Japanese language proficiency that can be applied immediately in professional fields, but also to nurture individuals who can contribute to building sustainable and friendly relations between the two nations.

To achieve these educational goals, the department pursues the following objectives:

Fostering practical Japanese language proficiency that enables learners to understand and utilize Japan’s diverse and specialized information and technologies.
Establishing a solid academic foundation for nurturing professionals capable of conducting advanced research in Japanese literature and linguistics.
Cultivating educators with compassion and logical thinking, grounded in an educational philosophy that upholds the universal values of humanity and consideration for others.
